Junior Trophy Day
Is held in March and has been held at the Clem Jones Pool. Parents and players enjoy a swim and a BBQ. Participation trophies and team photos are given to all U8 to Little League Minor players. Medallions and specialised trophies are awarded to everyone from Little League Majors to U14. Such trophies include Players Player, Most Improved, Best Hitter and Most Valuable Player.
Trophy Night
Is for U16 to Seniors & has been held at the Carina Leagues Club for many years. This cost is also included in your registration fee. This is usually when we have our AGM and this format combination, has been very successful.
Team Photos
Junior team photos are included in your registration fee. Teams will be advised by their managers when and where this will take place. Every player is required to make themselves available.
Scorers
Each team is to have a competent scorer at every game. If anyone in Under 8/10 would like to learn how to score we will arrange a night session at our clubhouse before the season commences. It’s very basic for these grades and a lot of fun. All scorers will be provided with scorebooks, rules and the relevant paperwork required. There will be a Clinic for Level 1 scorers and above to be held at Windsor Royals, Newmarket on the 4th & 5th September. More details about rules can be found at www.qldbaseballscorers.com
You’ll find some great scoring exercises and useful information on clinic session activities.
Coaching
All our coaches are qualified by obtaining instructions as required by the Australian Baseball Federation. Each coach has either played baseball themselves or have followed their children’s careers. If you are interested in attending a course please contact us. Redsox will cover the registration fee for you to attend.
The 2010 courses will be held at Pine Hills Lightning Baseball Club, Jinker Track, Bunya Qld 4014.

Brisbane Metro/Norths Level 1 Course (3 days - For Little League to Senior) - Dates September 3rd, 4th & 5th at Pine Hills Club, Bunya.
Brisbane South/Gold Coast Level 1 Course (3 days - For Little League to Senior) - Dates August 20th, 21st & 22nd Venue to TBC.
Umpiring
Any person umpiring a baseball game (Little League to Seniors) must hold a minimum Level 1 Umpires Accreditation. Our Metro region regularly runs off season accreditation programs for all our new umpires. A level 0 course takes approximately 4 hours to complete and Level 1 is held over 3 days. Redlands will be hosting this on August 27th - 29th. Registration costs will be covered by Redsox. If you are interested please contact our Umpires Co-Ordinator, Scott Smythe, to secure your spot.
Last season Redsox introduced rewarding our senior umpires by paying them $20 for doing the plate and $10 a base. This way was a great way inwhich senior players reclaimed some of their fees.
Wet Weather
Each club must have a Wet Weather contact who will decide if the ground is playable. Always assume that the game is still on unless you hear from your manager or coach. It may be raining at your home but fine and sunny at the field you will be playing at. If a game is cancelled due to the weather, the wet weather contact will call the relevant wet weather contact at our club and let them know the game has been called off. The wet weather person will then contact our relevant team manager, who will then contact each member of the relevant team. Please do not contact the wet weather contacts directly yourself.

Sponsorship
Businesses that would like to become involved in sponsorship are always welcome. The highly visible exposure generated at our sporting complex, ensures that your valuable sponsorship is generously rewarded. Our club is a popular training field for most off season development programs, so we have exposure all year round.
Our major sponsors are Carina Leagues Club and Freeman Fox Wealth Creation. Both provide valuable funding to our junior players. We will endeavour, as a club, to support our sponsors as without them many of the developments you see, would not have happened.
Fundraising
Redsox has a fundraising team of volunteers that organise events throughout the year. If you would like to be involved just let us know. The last few years we have run a successful Trivia night mid season. We may try a chocolate drive this season to raise funds to purchase permanent shade shelters for our junior fields. So please support us in any way you can.
Scholarship Program
Proudly sponsored by Freeman Fox Wealth Creations. Carina Leagues Redsox rewards our Juniors for being selected into Regional and National teams.
Discounts
All returning junior players who played in the previous year will receive a $20 discount off their fees when signing on for the following season. A discount is also offered to Senior players who volunteer their time to coaching a junior team during the season.
